Appleton Emergency Services is seeking an experienced physician assistant to help with increased volume.  We are a private group of 8 physicians, 3 physician assistants and one nurse practitioner. Thedacare Regional Medical Center-Appleton is a trauma level III emergency department with approximately 30,000 volume and high acuity. We have been staffing this department for over 15 years and take pride in a very well run emergency department. The ideal candidate would have at least one year experience in the critical care/urgent care setting, and hold or be eligible for a Wisconsin PA license. Some experience with pediatrics would also be beneficial. Self-motivation, excellent clinical judgment, and strong communication skills are required for this fast-paced environment. Our Physician Assistants evaluate a wide variety of urgent and emergent patients working closely with an Emergency Physician. Our PAs currently average between 1-1.5 patients/hr. Shifts are divided equally amongst the mid-level providers and are generally twelve hours. We offer excellent salary, benefits,CME and retirement package. Monitor donors during donation process and respond to donor reactions. Maintain and calibrate equipment. Stock supplies, break down empty cartons and assist with proper disposal. Qualifications Essential: High School Diploma or equivalent required Desired: Experience with service industry/customer service and multitasking is a plus Responsible for providing exceptional customer service to donors. (external) and fellow employees (internal) Refers to Center Manager for guidance on complex, medium-impact or above decisions. (internal) Refers to management team for escalated donor/employee concerns. (internal) Reports to Center Manager.
