Job Summary: The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is seeking an Infrastructure Specialist to provide technical support to customers and software developers of a highly complex Stored Value Card (SVC) payment system in support of the Department of Treasury. Additionally this role will support a complex remote patch management process and work closely with IT Security Specialists to support vulnerability management functions and security compliance testing. Qualified candidates will excel in providing operational technical support in complex and dynamic circumstances. Key Activities: Works independently; applies high-level technical skills and expertise to complex business systems and problems. Responsible for the effective management and efficient utilization of technical resources. Designs, analyzes, develops, and implements new automated systems and modifies existing applications to meet goals. Provides a variety of third-level help desk and end-user services including PC and server support; troubleshooting/resolution of complex problems; and equipment planning, procurement, configuration, and deployment. Designs, implements, and monitors the infrastructure to ensure local area network (LAN)/wide area network (WAN) and telecommunications equipment is sufficient/effective to meet goals. Performs troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose unique or complex network problems. Prepare and submit Network Boundary Requests to the enterprise network provider for configuration changes to a boundary switch in support of testing requirements. Install and de-install server equipment as required to support testing requirements. Support a remote patch management system to support scheduled software updates and information assurance compliance requirements. Maintain a configuration management program for all lab equipment. Travel Up to 15% once steady state operations are achieved; more significant travel of approximately 25% will be required during the initial transition period. Qualifications: Associate s degree from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and/or work related experience. Bachelor s degree from a four-year college or university preferred. Microsoft Certified System Administration or Engineer training/certifications preferred. At least five years of computer systems analyst/network administrator experience. Excellent multi-tasking, analytical, customer service, and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to end-users and non-technical staff. Comprehensive knowledge and experience in using multiple hardware/software platforms/applications, and/or significant expertise in a particular technology. May require frequent weekend or evening hours and being on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Business-area specific requirements may apply. United States citizenship is required for this position. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and experience with the Department of Defense Information. Network (DoDIN) to include the telecommunications services and infrastructure that support tactical ground forces and ships. Experience with Integrated Shipboard Network System (ISNS) and Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES). Knowledge and experience with Department of Defense information assurance organizations, processes and tools. Experience installing/de-installing server hardware and software. Working knowledge of scripting languages. Knowledge of payment system technology. Experience with Host Based Security System (HBSS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS). Information Security Certification (CompTIA Security, GSEC, CISSP, CISM). Prior military service with information technology, communications, and information assurance experience; Navy shipboard experience particularly desirable. This position requires Top Secret clearance and additional Treasury screening due to the information accessed while performing the job. Job Description As a Senior Traffic Enginer, you will develop a client base and workload to establish traffic engineering services in our Omaha, NE office. The person in this role will also be supervising, managing, and mentoring our current Traffic/Technology staff. This candidate will prepare and review technical documents, present analyses and recommendations to clients, and add technical staff as needed. Must have a high level of technical expertise in report writing, and project management. Job Summary This position is responsible for leading the process development of major initiatives (such as network optimization or M&A initiatives) and commercialization of new technology applications. The individual will also act as the technical lead for one of the major business platforms (Snacks), will be the R&D Processing core team member on the R&D "Margin by Design" team, and will also be instrumental in developing the 3-yr processing technology pipeline. Position Responsibilities Build & maintain an understanding of the process technology needs & capabilities across the company, especially in designated platform. Partner internally and externally (Universities, suppliers, competitive scouting) to identify and champion technologies that can be adapted for our needs. Act as the lead process development resource for major business initiatives that may span multiple or new business opportunities. Champions the appropriate use of MOPD/VSU tools across work. Serve as a technical mentor for junior engineers in the group. May have responsibility for direct management of technicians, interns, or other junior engineers as appropriate. Ensure all processing specifications developed by engineers in designated platform are accurate, complete, and effective in ensuring the factory makes quality product at target costs. Position Qualifications BS in Chemical, Food, Biochemical, or Mechanical Engineering required. Advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience with proven leadership in food process technology or related areas of work. Extensive knowledge of food science & food processing. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated documentation discipline. Proven troubleshooting skills with demonstrated ability to execute root cause analysis and follow through with corrective actions. Thorough understanding of food safety, sanitary design, & equipment cleaning. Solid understanding of sensory testing methodologies and translating consumer insights into technical solutions. Understanding of food/package interaction. Knowledge of product development process. Basic financial understanding, to enable profitability optimization and project budgeting skills Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills along with the self-confidence to drive the technical organization to new levels of accomplishment and performance. Creative and result oriented personality. Self-starter, but also a team player with proven problem solving skills. Knowledge of capital engineering practices a plus. Ability to travel up to 40% of the time. Must be able to travel independently and as a responsible company representative. Physical Requirements (optional) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally; lift up to 25 lbs. regularly. Work extensively in pilot plant and or production plant floor environment. Exposure to manufacturing environments for periodic extended work days to include: loud noise, heat, cold, wet, and slippery conditions. Walking and/or standing for long periods of time. Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders. Bending and/or crawling; must be able to move safely and freely around machinery. Driving a company or rental vehicle as needed.
