Major Areas of Accountability: Responsible for defining and driving the organization’s product strategy, leadership of custom pricing solutions for custom transactions and product portfolio management for all TCF Capital Solutions market segments. Shares P&L accountability and leads TCF Capital Solutions through all product management related business analysis, sales support and portfolio management, pricing activities, and the development of a stronger customer segmentation approach. Leads a team of transaction management analysts and performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing staff. Develops and implements plans and strategies to expand market share, revenue, and profitability objectives for the TCF Capital Solutions, while evaluating compliance with all relevant regulatory standards, taxes and professional guidelines. Influences and drives pricing and commercial structure of individual transactions and programs along with the continuous evolution of existing products. Defines and monitors programs and initiatives in support of capital markets activities. Continuously evolves the relevance, pricing, and performance of product value propositions relative to customer needs and marketplace competition, leveraging industry best-practices and analytical tools. Leads planning and budgeting processes, managing to pro forma projections and the growth of the TCF Capital Solutions product portfolio through new strategies for customer growth and acquisition. Builds partnerships and collaborates effectively across TCF businesses and stakeholders in non-reporting functions; provides leadership to drive consistently high levels of service delivery, integrated strategies and tactics, and optimizes the portfolio to support TCF Capital Solutions market segments and growth goals. Identifies, mitigates and monitors risk issues and regulatory compliance across the transaction and payments product suite, per Bank policy and guidelines, ensuring that business operations are in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements (e.g. financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals, and physical control of assets) and escalation processes are followed. Bachelor degree in Business equivalent experience; MBA preferred. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience and progressive responsibility in product management, product development, and marketing in financial services or other relevant service sector industries. Minimum of 5 years management experience with demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and identify career development opportunities for direct reports. Strong general and cross-functional management experience with responsibility for a P&L in a large, matrixed organization. Demonstrated experience implementing market segmentation and channel strategies to increase profitability across one or more product portfolios. Strong ‘end-to-end’ product development/management experience especially across multiple channels specifically within leasing products.
