Purpose and Scope: This entry level position to build basic skills and understanding of maintenance and troubleshooting. Perform preventive maintenance and repair equipment and systems as needed to assure that production and uptime goals are met and equipment is proactively maintained. Individuals in this position are part of a team that is responsible for preparing the coaters for the vent process and general preventive maintenance throughout the plant. Also responsible for assisting in development of work instructions and assisting in special projects as needed with in the facility. Individuals in this position are part of a team that is responsible for prep work for the coater vent process and general preventive maintenance. They are also responsible for assisting in development of Standard Operating Procedures, training and certifying team members and assisting Maintenance in Coater Vents and in special projects. Schedule: Monday thru Friday 6am to 2:30pm Expected Outcomes/Job Functions: Responsibilities: Target prep (wire wheeling) Drive preparation Preparation for vent process Sandblasting Maintain equipment Assist Maintenance in coater vent process Assist in maintaining detailed paperwork and organized data records. Assist with troubleshooting of processes. Assist in development of work instructions, training and auditing team members and assisting in special projects. Learn, understand, and follow documented Standard Operating Procedures. Initiate and support continuous improvement and elimination of waste and variation in processes using established improvement processes. Generate and document solutions and continuous improvement ideas in established manner. The above responsibilities represent the major tasks assigned to incumbents in this job title. Education and Experience: (minimum requirements) Two years work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Previous exposure to mechanical or electrical repairs preferred Knowledge of computer applications is preferred. Attributes: Must have mechanical aptitude. Demonstrated ability for detail orientated work. Demonstrated ability to work and cross train in a team environment. Clear sense of urgency and ability to manage priorities to meet immediate needs and long term goals. High sensitivity to quality and on time delivery of materials and services. Sensitive to other cultures/backgrounds, able to work in a multi-cultural workplace. Ability and willingness to learn, understand, and follow documented work procedures. Ability and willingness to generate and support implementation of continuous improvement ideas. Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
