This role provides IT infrastructure engineering, administration, and development of existing hardware, software, network configurations, and new system initiatives. The position is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure of the DevTest labs, ensuring proper configuration and availability of Windows-based application servers. The candidate will monitor logs, startstop services and troubleshoot OS, hardware, and network issues. This includes applying the latest patches and upgrades, and collecting and evaluating metrics to assist in the management of the infrastructure. Manage and monitor local server infrastructure to ensure consistent operation. POC for local server, network and desktop repair of infrastructure components. This role is responsible for installation, configuration, administration, support, and maintenance of systems, including associated hardware and cloud resources. Duties include updating to new technologies, tuning performance, defining storage needs, and prioritizing the implementation of critical system patches. (13) Coordinate and participate in meetings and conference calls; take and post minutes on web-portals. (14) Perform data analysis, including, but not limited to, all topics related to the investigation of metabolic function with age, model building analysis, assessing trends, determining correlations, testing for heterogeneity and compiling and communicating results to investigators to participate in the interpretation of results and planning of further analysis. (15) Complete technical writing including co-authoring articles for journal submission and writing professional services agreements and statements of work. (16) Support pre- and post-doctoral fellows with various web programs and graphing programs. REQUIREMENTS : The contractor ideally would have: (1) Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Health Statistics, Public Health or a related discipline. (2) Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience including designing and performing statistical analysis. (3) Understanding of the different types of experimental designs, from cellular to human studies, and ability to choose the appropriate statistical analysis. Sound knowledge of statistics and quantitative modeling. Excellent computer programming skills with proficiency in R and one or more programming languages such as Perl, Python, Ruby or MATLAB. Experience with database design and construction, and dynamical system theory and modeling.
