Tax AssociateThis is a newly created role because the company continues to expand. This insurance carrier primarily acquires in force life insurance/annuities blocks of business but has made some strategic acquisitions in other areas such as a recent purchase of a Long Term Care book of business. These transactions are significant in size and complex (in a good way). Reporting to the AVP of Tax, the client is looking to bring on board a Tax Associate. This organization isn't siloed or layered so you'll be in a highly visible role in an entrepreneurial environment where you are involved in multiple areas and where you will be exposed to much more than you would be exposed to at a large, siloed organization. You can expect a strong benefits package, a good work life balance and to be surrounded by strong players from the insurance industry who value your input. The qualities the team values in a candidate are: self-motivation, great problem solving skills and an ability to work in an environment where self-direction is encouraged. You'll be involved in preparing and assisting in the review of federal and state income tax provisions and preparing financial statement disclosures and analysis.
