Job Description: Work with Engineering & Product Marketing teams to identify, select, and engage with suppliers to design and manufacture new products to address market requirements and cost targets. Handle RFQ to ODMs and suppliers. Collaborate with a cross-functional team to make ODM/supplier selections for all new projects. Implement supplier-sourcing strategies to ensure high quality, on-time delivery, and cost competitiveness. Support the planning, design and operational activities related to introducing new electronic products and cost-reduced versions of existing products; work closely with Product Line Manager & Engineering Teams as well as internal Finance and Legal Departments. Responsible for strategic supplier relationships that achieve cost–effective procurement decisions and overall business plan objectives. Lead all aspects of supplier negotiations, including contract terms, pricing and performance management. Responsible for cost-negotiation and supplier-management from pre-NPI, Mass-Production, and all the way to EOL, for any particular product. Requirements & Qualifications: Excellent written & verbal communication, engagement, and interpersonal skills. Understanding of market trends for consumer technology solutions, supply chain management, accounting, and business operations. Exceptional negotiation experiences, knowledge of procurement best-practices, knowledge of contracts, diplomacy, and strong ability to lead cross-functional project teams. Ability to work in a fast–paced, entrepreneurial environment. Ability to maintain perspective and confidence in face of difficult price negotiations, exceptionally tight deadlines, and expectations. Analytical thinker with a positive attitude and flexibility to accommodate evolving business needs. Decision-Making: Must be able to assimilate the information gathered by yourself and others (internal & external) to recommend and make decisions.
