Requirements: Applicants should have: An earned doctorate in nutrition or public health with a preferred emphasis in global public health nutrition or related field from an accredited college or university; a strong record of academic scholarship in community nutrition, public health nutrition, global health nutrition and/or dietetics; a strong record of academic scholarship as demonstrated by research publications and ability to secure extramural research funding; a commitment to, and potential for, teaching excellence in human nutrition, global health and public health nutrition and a record of successful college or university teaching; an understanding of, and commitment to, community and globally engaged scholarship; and history of active service and/or leadership roles in campus, community, and professional organizations. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Preferred qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with an MPH degree or Certificate in Public Health; previous experience and interest in conducting interdisciplinary research in the area of global human nutrition across the lifespan and across cultures; and the ability to align with the translational research potential of our state-of-the-art laboratories, which are fully equipped to conduct clinical, basic and applied science research. Other preferred areas of research include nutritional epidemiology or human health and disease. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong interdisciplinary and collaborative research record.
