JobSummary: The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Hematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation has an opening for a full time Open Rank faculty member. This position will have approximately 75% of its time spent as a faculty member practicing Pediatric Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplantation independently in the inpatient, outpatient, or research settings. The remaining 25% of time will be dedicated to the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD) Inpatient Medical Director role. Examples of Work Performed: Clinical and/or Research Responsibilities (75% effort): Provide comprehensive sub-specialty medical care to PediatricHematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant patients and theirfamilies in both Inpatient and Outpatient Settings. Manage patient care incollaboration with other physicians, care providers, and other members of aninterdisciplinary team in an academic medical center; Participate in clinical teaching and academic activities; Protectionfor research-related activities will be commensurate with independent fundingobtained to provide salary support for this allocation of effort; Actively supervise and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, andgraduate students, providing clinical education, career and life guidance,mentorship, and teaching; Shared weekday coverage as the attending physician responsible foroversight of the inpatient Oncology services.
