In-Home Usage Tester (Product Tester from home) Part-timePresently we're recruiting Product Testers (from home) in several US cities to expand our private network of In-Home Usage Testers (IHUT) to fulfill upcoming contracts with national and international companies. We guarantee 15-20 hours per week with an hourly pay of between $25/hr. and $45/hr., depending on the In-Home Usage Test project. No experience required. American Consumer Panels® is a consulting firm that specializes in product testing and product development work. We design and conduct In-Home Usage Testing (IHUT) locally and nationally to provide actual user feedback to companies and market research firms to evaluate products, packaging, related product instructions and more. We leverage our network of private panels (In-Home Usage Testers) to provide product testers to companies for evaluating the in-home experience with a wide variety of products to ensure proper product certification and greater market access. Please note that although this job can be done from home 95% of the time, very occasionally In-Home Product Testers may be asked to visit the client's office, laboratory, store, warehouse or factory for training or meetings (visits are local and scheduled at no more than 20 minutes drive from the In-Home Usage Tester address). These optional visits are also paid by the hour. During your application process, we will determine your consumer profile and establish what products would be suitable for you to test according to your demographics, lifestyle, consumer behavior, skills, hobbies and ability. Research questionnaires are used to identify and target certain types of consumers, to ensure the right participants are engaged and to achieve the representative sample needed. Job candidates for In-Home Usage Testing are also screened to meet the client’s needs for the project to ensure that the product is one that they qualify to test and that they have a balance of demographics and attitudes. Participation in these product testing and consumer panels is always free, secure and private. In-Home Usage Testing is a quick, easy and fun way to make extra cash by telling big brands what you think about their upcoming products and services in the American market.Main duties: Sign and return non-disclosure agreements before the product to be tested is shipped. Individuals who complete the required documents will have the products sent to their homes.Once the product is received for In-Home Usage Test (IHUT), the Product Tester must take care of the product being tested and use it responsibly.Read and strictly follow the In-Home Usage Test Daily Schedule provided with each product testing project. In-Home Usage Test Daily Schedules may include tasks to do such as: unpacking, reading instructions, journal entries, online or mobile feedback, usage of product for certain amount of time, writing reviews, taking pictures, etc.Properly document In-Home Usage Test as instructed in the In-Home Usage Test Daily Schedule. Types of documentation commonly used for In-Home Usage Tests are snapshots, audio recordings, videos and Product Journals. Attend Skype meetings or conference call meetings with Account Managers, Brand Managers, Research Managers, Product Managers or small business owners to offer ongoing product usage feedback. These short virtual meetings may take place 2-3 times per week and are paid by the hour also.Some In-Home Usage Tests projects may require participants to use MFour’s Mobile In-Home Use Test Technology (cutting edge smartphone technology to capture Point-of-Emotion® insights to gain unparalleled depth of responses).Paid Product Testing is done from home 95% of the time, but very occasionally paid Product Testers may be asked to visit the client's office, laboratory, store, warehouse or factory for training or meetings. This position exists to aid and assist Facility Services’ mission to the University by providing distributed energy to the Campus community, exercising fiscal responsibility, reporting on leading edge technology, practicing sustainable maintenance and operations.This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all central plant equipment including boilers, chillers, and associated equipment in accordance with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the Arizona Department of Occupational Safety (ADOSH) codes and standards to ensure a working, living and learning environment is maintained. Maintain NAU’s district energy system of approximately 7 miles of tunnels and direct buried pipe systems to deliver steam, high temp hot water and chilled water to campus buildings. Operates valves, controls and other central plant equipment to control the flow of air, gas, water and steam while maintaining temperatures and pressures at designated levels in accordance with the American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA) instructions, chiller manufacturer instructions, and University standards. This position is autonomous in nature which requires the operator to rely heavily on their own experience and knowledge. Salary Range: To be determined Close Date : 22-March-2019 Essential Duties: Actively participate in maintenance, repair and installation duties in the trades. Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in medium voltage circuits and systems, including cutouts, switchgear, and transformers on the secondary side, in generation plants 4160-12,470 volts isolating faults, replacing cables and operating all medium voltage controls and associated equipment. Troubleshoot and repair of high voltage generating, controlling, and distribution systems, such as repairing switchgear, installing and hooking up transformers, locating defects in cables, or selecting materials to make installations or repairs. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems and implement effective repairs and adjustments. Studies plans, drawings and specifications and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs and/or installations. Determine material and labor estimates. Repair and maintain high voltage systems. Prepare, plan, schedule, process and complete work orders utilizing a computer maintenance management system. Maintain time and material records, and submit reports. May assign and inspect the work of electricians and trades helpers. Initiate corrective actions to secure satisfactory standards and timely project completion. Plan and develop work schedules, equipment usage schedules, and procedures for equipment maintenance. May assist in performance evaluation process. Ability to communicate verbally, read, write, see and hear to perform the essential functions of the job. Minimum Qualifications: Seven years of progressively responsible electrical repair and maintenance experience; OR,Completion of a four-year federally approved technical training program in electrical repair and maintenance AND three years of electrical repair and maintenance experience; OR,Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Employee must possess a valid US Driver’s license of the appropriate class and required endorsements throughout employment. Desired Qualifications: Experience in: High voltage electric power distribution equipment such as transformers, switches, circuit breakers, recording instruments and control systems. Diagnosing and determining corrective action for electric power-controlling equipment such as switch gear, transformer banks, and circuit breakers in substations and power-generating facilities Knowledge of: Applicable codes standards and regulations. National Electric Code, NFPA70E. Skill in: Installation, repair and maintenance of all systems and assignments common to the trade. Estimating time and material requirements for work projects. Troubleshooting and repairs of high voltage generating, controlling, and distribution systems, such as repairing switchgear, installing and hooking up transformers, locating defects in cables, or selecting materials to make installations or repairs. Read and understand circuit diagrams of interconnects such as the generators, buses, switches, and circuit breakers in a power-generating facility or the feeders, substations, transformers, and interconnections of a distribution system, in order to diagnose problems in the electrical system. Performing troubleshooting layout, and complete installation, modification, and repair on high voltage distribution systems such as repairing switchgear, installing transformers, and locating defects in cables. The use of test equipment such as: oscilloscopes, power quality meters, insulation resistance tester, high potential tester, phase sticks, phase rotation meters, digital test equipment, other electrical test equipment, and cable locating and fault finding equipment. Effective written and verbal communication skills to perform the essential functions of the job. Working Environment: Wear personal protective equipment (e.g. safety glasses, face shield, negative pressure respirator, gloves).Climbs stairs and ladder. Travel throughout campus. Work in extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, confined spaces (tunnels, man holes, vaults), intense noise, dirty environment, air contamination and hazardous materials. Lift, bend, and carry heavy objects up to 75 pounds. Work from ladders 6’ to 30’ using power tools for maintenance, repair, and installations. Drive University vehicle.
