The Early Clinical Development (ECD) Oncology group at Genentech is seeking a talented Clinical Scientist (rank will be commensurate with experience) who is passionate about translating preclinical discoveries into the next generation of therapies. The role will focus on clinical and pre-clinical programs that explore the potential of a broad targeted and cancer immunology portfolio. The Clinical Scientist (CS) will work with Medical Directors and cross-functional teams on innovative science and development programs to bring novel therapies to patients with cancer. Primary duties and responsibilities: The CS will be integral in driving the deliverables for early clinical development programs, particularly first-in-human, Phase 1 and Phase 2 studies. The CS will contribute to clinical development strategy and clinical study design and will work closely with cross-functional teams to author study protocols, informed consent forms, investigator brochures, clinical study reports, study manuals, INDs, publications, presentations and regulatory documents. The CS will participate in the development of electronic clinical data case report forms, review data integrity and contribute to study monitoring and data analysis. The CS will be a member of clinical sub-teams and protocol execution teams and will be expected to establish effective and collaborative relationships across the organization. The CS may serve as the clinical department’s point of contact in settings such as protocol execution teams, inquiries from study site coordinators or investigators and contract research organizations. The CS will review medical data from ongoing studies, follow-up on laboratory results and safety event documentation, and address queries, with oversight by medical monitors. The CS will support and present at advisory boards and investigator meetings. The CS will train internal, CRO and site staff on clinical aspects of study protocols. The role of the Project Analyst is to assist the execution of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) upgrade project. The Project Analyst will assist the Program Manager in all aspects of executing the project. This includes: Coordinate sub-projects, schedules, schedule and facilitate meetings Create training material and facilitate the create of training materials. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate Meetings - Work with the Program manager and stakeholders to facilitate the creation and execution for meetings to facilitate training, data migration and the go live checklist. Facilitate creation of training materials Coordinate the creation of materials to include assisting and building out training tools for go live and beyond. Report Results Assist with collecting, synthesizing and reporting complex project status to the team and management. Business Process Definition Assist stakeholders with the definition and documentation of existing business processes and assist with the definition of future state. Problem Solving Observe team dynamics, project progress and identify gaps based on heavy day to day interaction with the team to propose creative solutions to ongoing project problems. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Project Management, Business, Business Process or related field. Technical degree with demonstrated project management or complex problem solving a plus. 1 to 5 years of experience contributing to complex projects with a desire to take increased responsibility.
