Director, Community Affairs & Business Partnership Development

The Director, Community Affairs & Business Partnership Development is responsible for the strategic oversight, development and management of Truliant’s community engagement and outreach programs as well as state governmental affairs. The Director is focused on nurturing meaningful relationships with key community groups and acting as the principal ambassador for the Credit Union with primary responsibilities for delivering Truliant’s vision at the local and state level. In addition, this position’s responsibilities include building, growing, and maintaining a Truliant Foundation that will actively support financial literacy, grant and scholarship programs and designated community causes aligned with Truliant’s mission, vision and business plan thereby increasing the Credit Union’s profile in the areas we serve. This position is also responsible for the oversight and management of Truliant’s workplace benefits program, Truliant At Work (TAW). Essential Functions and Responsibilities Develops and manages the overall direction of Truliant’s Community Engagement and Truliant at Work programs and staff to ensure that programs are aligned with Truliant’s vision and community involvement focus areas. Aligns, develops and executes strategic plans and tactics to maximize corporate involvement, community outreach and immersion. Monitors and helps analyze the impact of legislative and other governmental and regulatory developments in areas of interest to Truliant at the local and state level, including proposed legislation and regulations, governmental actions and policy initiatives, and governmental personnel changes; prepares assessments of the prospects of legislation in process including likelihood of passage; alerts executive leadership to proposed legislation that potentially affects the interests of Truliant. Develops and maintains productive relationships with city, county and state government representatives and their staff and advises executive leadership on items of relevance to Truliant and its members. Responsible for the building, growing and maintaining of a foundation that will actively support financial literacy, grant and scholarship programs and designated community causes aligned with Truliant’s mission. Serves as a Board member on various local boards in order to increase Truliant’s visibility within the community. Directs corporate marketing sponsorship programs with local non-profit and for-profit organizations. Develops and implements the business plan for corporate sponsorships and charitable work. Works with various Truliant departments to develop community contacts and increase brand visibility in target markets by representing Truliant in various civic and community functions to enhance our image and develop new business. Creates comprehensive target strategy to leverage industry contacts/relationships to identify and cultivate new business opportunities. Partners with members of the senior management team to create and support strategic initiatives related to business development in target markets. Develops, defines and implements an on-going business development strategy that utilizes the Truliant at Work staff to support the objectives of the MFC network across all geographical regions, as well as ensures attainment of Credit Union service goals and growth. Researches/implements new strategies to improve penetration and increase average balances within individual Business Partners. Defines measurements and indicators of successful implementation of community business plans for all markets; follows up on results and implements plans for course correction as needed. Provides strategic direction with regards to reporting and other tools used to measure and monitor success of established programs. Establishes goals for Community Engagement staff and evaluates performance. Develops and manages the department’s budget; responsible for adhering to fiscal guidelines. The Director, Credit Administration is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and administration of the Credit Union’s consumer lending program and works in collaboration with all delivery channels (MCC, MFC and Digital). Assists in development of the Credit Union’s consumer lending strategy and is responsible for successful execution of said strategy. Ensures Credit Administration operates within Federal Regulation, Credit Union policy and member-owner philosophy while overseeing the activities of the Credit Administration Department. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Responsible for organizing, planning, and implementing the strategic activities of Consumer Lending and related ancillary products, ensuring programs are in line with overall Credit Union objectives. Interacts regularly with the Senior Management Team, Credit Union Managers/Department Heads, and frontline/support employees to ensure overall credit union objectives are achieved and to maximize performance synergy across department lines and delivery channels, particularly as it relates to Consumer Lending and related ancillary products. Provides leadership directly to team of consumer lending professionals to include managers and staff and indirectly to other frontline managers/employees to ensure quality of work, smooth service delivery and adherence to the strategic direction of the credit union. Works directly with existing vendors ensuring service level agreements are adhered to. Regularly assesses and leverages current consumer lending systems to maximize system functionality and member convenience. Acts as project manager or project lead as needed for lending changes. Manages risk, documentation and production aspects of credit administration for Consumer Lending department’s responsibilities including underwriting, processing, and servicing of all business loans. Exercises administrative control over all phases of the department’s operations, directly, through subordinates or indirectly. Ensures budgetary control and reviews and implements new methods and procedures to make the programs more efficient. Develops and updates lending policies and procedures, compliance and improvement in all consumer lending functions; conducts research, development and implementation of all Consumer Lending programs. Responsible for the risk assessment, processing and servicing of all Consumer Loans. Oversees, monitors and tracks lending regulatory compliance and service delivery. Develops and monitors the department’s budget. Participates in the annual review process, including writing and delivering reviews as needed.
