CSH serves individuals who are referred by the criminal justice system for pre-trial psychiatric evaluation and/or inpatient treatment; those who have been found not guilty by reason of insanity at the time of commission of a crime or mentally incompetent to stand trial; and those who are admitted on hold orders from jails for psychiatric evaluation, treatment and stabilization._Job Summary_Under broad supervision, reviews and monitors compliance with discipline specific criteria, DBHDD policies, Joint Commission standards and CSH protocols._Primary Duties and Responsibilities_ Performs Joint Commission based tracer surveys utilizing medical record documentation and/or on site surveys. Monitor, tracks, and maintains records on results of tracer surveys and other monitoring activities. As directed by the Quality Management (QM) Director, communicates with the appropriate discipline chiefs about the tracer survey or monitoring findings. Reviews and analyzes tracer/monitor results to identify any trends and patterns. Recommends to supervisor any programmatic and/or operational changes based on review of tracer/monitoring results. May provide high level support for various hospital projects, implementation of procedures/protocols, and/or any specialized assignments as directed by the supervisor Collects and reports data as required by QM Director May supervise and/or direct the work of others Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with internal and external customers, and other related contacts. The Community Residential Treatment Nurse provides professional nursing care in a residential treatment facility for consumers admitted for stabilization/observation of severe mental health or addictive disease crises or for intensive residential treatment of addictive diseases. The crisis stabilization and residential treatment centers are all stand-alone facilities located in the community. They operate 24-hours per day, 7 days per week. The Community Residential Treatment Nurse performs an initial evaluation of the consumer in order to recommend his/her appropriateness for the level of care offered by the program. Implements the nursing care plan and doctors’ treatment orders, including coordination of proper administration of medications.
