n this position the Sr. Design Engineer for Co-op Cycles is responsible for executing design initiatives by ensuring that all functional, performance, cost and delivery requirements are successfully built into the product. This will include bicycle frames and equipment, in conjunction with component selection. The Sr. Design Engineer will bring expert knowledge and best practices to the development and delivery of products that will capture the original design intent and satisfy consumer needs for function and performance. The Sr. Design Engineer will work collaboratively within a cross-functional team of Product Strategy, Designers, Developers, Graphic & Color Designers, Merchandising and external vendor partners to innovate and deliver industry-leading products that perform to the highest quality standards, serving as the physical manifestation of the REI Co-op Brand through the lens of Co-op Cycles. The Program Manager, contributes to REI’s success by driving cardmember acquisition, sales and engagement through the REI Mastercard program. This ownership encompasses all program management from strategy to execution, including planning and managing individual program budgets, partnering within marketing and with cross-divisional partners to implement programs, conducting program optimization and analysis, program execution and managing tools development, third-party resources and partnerships. Program facets include systems and infrastructure development, in-store and online experience, partnership with the VSDM, REI.com and Membership Services team, acquisition and retention initiatives, and future program innovation (e.g. new technology, improved customer experience, etc). This program drives multi-channel traffic and sales throughout the year, drives brand awareness, drives deeper member engagement and value, and maintains the connection between REI and REI’s members.
