Follows approved standards for food handling and storage based on HACCP requirements for safe food preparation, cooling and storage daily. Knowledge of diet requirements as they relate to assembling of patient meal trays. Works cold side of tray assembly for dinner meal service. Completes all trays with accuracy and maintains department standards for appearance. Ensures proper storage following approved standards to prevent cross contamination of raw and uncooked products. Follows all safety requirements for use of equipment including use of PPM equipment provided to prevent accidents. Completes all daily and weekly cleaning assignments. Follows safety rules at all times, Reports accidents and unsafe conditions to manager. Assists as requested in maintaining sanitation per department standards throughout the kitchen and storage areas. Demonstrates knowledge of proper infection control and food safety standards as evidenced by good hand washing, proper dating and labeling of product, FIFO. Follows department policy for trash removal and re-lining of containers in a timely manner. Responsible for maintaining dish room clean and organized while processing any dishes or pans Works cash register position as scheduled. Accurately handles money and cash handling duties as assigned. Sterilization , dental terminology and dental radiology is very helpful. Must be a team player and flexible in job duties. Responsibilities Sterilization- includes scrubbing of instruments and knowledge of sterile technique. Assisting Surgeon-includes but not limited to retracting of tissue, knowledge of oral surgery instruments, oral cavity anatomy, suctioning of debris, airway management,knowledge of anesthesia emergency protocols, ability to read monitors and record keeping of drugs being used. Ability to take dental readiographs. Evaluates problem areas and provides a mechanism for positive feedback to the employee in a timely manner. Identified problem areas are communicated to the Respiratory Manager. Assesses all patients patient utilizing technical skills to establish the appropriate level of respiratory care to be administered. Demonstrates knowledge of the specific age group's special needs and behaviors. Assesses and documents breath sounds, respiratory rate and pattern, heart rate and sputum production with each ventilator check or treatment given 100% of the time. Records oximeter readings with all ventilator/oxygen checks when applicable. Assesses and documents treatment tolerance 100% of the time. Assesses appropriateness of therapy and patient progress on an ongoing basis and contacts the physician for modified treatment when necessary. Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient's needs Demonstrates the ability to assess the patient's cardio-pulmonary status and administer the appropriate respiratory care, in emergency or non-emergency situations. Performs routine respiratory care treatments, procedures and oxygen administration for all patients based on the knowledge of professional studies and in accordance with current policies and procedures. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, ensuring billing and coding accuracy for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician. Collects and prepares charts for clinic day. Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean. Guides patient to treatment room and prepares them for physician. Interview patient to obtain medical history and pertinent medical information, measures and records vital signs, weight and height. Compiles test results for physicians use during examination. Assists physicians during examination and treatment of patient, performing tasks assigned by physician. Collects blood, tissue or other laboratory specimens, recording and preparing specimens for testing. Responsible for ordering and scheduling of various medical tests as directed by physician, making sure test needing pre-authorization is completed. Schedules follow up visit with patient, explains treatment procedures, medications, diets and physicians' instructions to patient. Receives and routes phone messages and documents such as test results to appropriate staff. Updates medical chart with all pertinent reports, results or correspondence/dictation. Checks phone messages and responds to caller in a timely manner. Operates office equipment needed to perform duties in an efficient manner. Maintains medical records, technical library and correspondence files as needed. Supports all department policies, participates in department meetings. Completes random tasks as assigned.
