GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the direction of the President/COO this position leads the production quality control functions, ensures production quality, and provides government record keeping and administrative production paperwork accuracy. Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives. Coordinate objectives with production manager to maximize product reliability and minimize costs. Provide, and oversee, inspection activity for products throughout production. Apply total quality management tools and statistical approaches to analytical and reporting processes. Work with third party laboratories for additional testing on raw ingredients and finished products as required. Create and direct organoleptic, analytical, cleaning & sanitation, and environmental test functions and applications. Design, develop and implement quality control training programs. Maintains and monitors the quality assurance system throughout the day by reviewing quality control documentation. Initiates root cause analysis and completion of corrective action and preventative action reports. Provides support for government record keeping by reviewing paperwork on 122, 131, BWC, TPWBH, bulk flavor, condiments receivables to ensure compliance for Company reporting efforts. Provides laboratory support by overseeing distillations, flavor application, organoleptic and analytical testing on raw ingredients and finished product. Provides administrative support by completing forms to receive flavors/condiments and process to government records; and keeping product retains and files in order, i.e. daily run sheets, production work orders, receivables, transfers and bulk loads. Conduct benchtop testing for current and new products as needed to ensure stability, integrity and product/package quality. At times, work with Product Development and Flavor/Bulk Suppliers in the development of new and current products. Trained in HazMat safety, GMP, SSOP, and HACCP. Provides support for monthly and year-end Inventories. Specific Accountabilities/Essential Functions of Position Supports contract review process including: review, evaluation, and drafting of contract/agreement terms. Distributes pending contracts to appropriate departments throughout the Company/subsidiary for review and solicits, compiles, and evaluates comments. Under general guidance of the CFO, prepares basic to moderately complex agreements, instruments, or other standard legal documents or correspondence relating to legal and/or business operations.
