Assist in determining the staff needs of the Nursing Services Department, recommendation of number of employees needed, and assist with the recruitment and hiring of Nursing Service personnel Meet with nursing personnel as scheduled, to assist in identifying and correcting problems, and/or the improvement of services. Assist in arranging for and overseeing patient admissions, transfers and discharges. Assist in developing, maintaining and periodically updating written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Services Department. Assist in maintaining a reference library of written nursing materials that will assist the Nursing Services Department in meeting patients’ needs and comply with state and federal regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
