The Communications and Change Management Director develops, integrates, implements, manages and measures communication strategies and initiatives for Sourcing and Procurement Solutions (SPS), internal and/or external clients aligned with and supporting Allstate business objectives and its corporate reputation strategy. The Communication and Change Management Director is responsible for the change management and communication plan to support SPS’ multi-year transformational journey, including the overall positioning of the organization and communicating to its various stakeholders. Additionally, the Communications and Change Management Leader is responsible for developing and driving a comprehensive learning and development strategy for the organization. Key Responsibilities Leads the development of strategic communication and change plans of the highest complexity, scope and impact to the organization Develop and execute an SPS employee training strategy to further accelerate employee development within the department, including building employees skills sets in sourcing and procurement, supplier relationship management, leadership, and other relevant areas Creates, designs, and writes complex materials, employee communications, newsletters, and informational materials for internal or external audiences Leads strategic communication initiatives that extend beyond Sourcing & Procurement Solutions to other business units and/or external constituents. Develops long-range, integrated program and project communication and change plans that increase awareness and understanding of business results Provides ongoing strategic communications coaching and counsel accountable to the most senior level clients within the organization Develop and execute training plans for key SPS initiatives; For each training need, collect information from appropriate sources, define the training format and schedule, develop training documents with content tailored for the intended audience, ensure review and approval from the relevant stakeholder groups, and oversee delivery of the training; Ensure coordination and alignment with corporate training. Identifies communication and change measures and metrics to ensure desired outcomes and alignment to business goals Applies industry and business unit expertise and leverages external industry relationships to drive performance Influences the work of the department to ensure all initiatives and strategies are supporting the client and company in achieving business objectives This job does have supervisory duties Job Qualifications Education and Experience 10 or more years of related experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; may also have advanced degree Functional Skills Advanced ability to influence others to achieve results by thinking strategically, communication clearly and effectively and fostering mutually beneficial internal and external relationships. Demonstrates a high-level understanding of relevant procurement processes (e.g., category management, strategic sourcing, contract management, purchasing) and can share benefits with key stakeholders Demonstrates the ability to effectively work with executive level stakeholders and engage in strategic conversations Demonstrates an understanding of internal business processes, external customer segments, strategic direction and business objectives. Aligns recommendations and decisions with Procurements vision and guiding principles. Advanced ability to manage multiple complex, high profile projects. Ability to think strategically, conceptually and analytically to assess problems, identify and consider potential solutions, and make timely recommendations. Works with others to effectively address issues when they occur. Understands and can produce reports and analysis utilizing relevant communication, change and training metrics to measure performance, and the actions that can be taken to positively impact results. Demonstrates an understanding of budgetary and financial functions, processes, timelines, constraints, and how each impact or enables the procurement process (including annual cycles, budget initiatives, and finance activities). Advanced use of Microsoft PowerPoint and Word for effective communicating to constituents and stakeholders Advanced application of systems thinking requiring focus on constituent parts interrelated to how a system works over time and in relation to a larger system
