Reads and understands simple blue prints and sketches. 2. Manufactures parts to blue prints and/or sketches using Operator Inspection Instructions (OII) as guide. 3. Inspects parts produced as instructed by Operator Inspection Instructions (OII), teacher, set-up person, lead-person or supervisor using tools such as tape measure, caliper, micrometer, protractor and document findings. 4. Upon completion of production operation, returns pattern, check fixture and any documentation forms to proper location. 5. Stacks parts, cleans machines or does other duties as assigned. 6. Operates various types and sizes of stamping presses in a safe and efficient manner or some machines including milling machines, CNC machines, spot welders, turret machines, rivet machine and others as instructed. 7. Uses software programs to enter time/payroll information, job information, etc. 8. Performs those duties as specified on the Daily Maintenance/Safety Checklist for equipment being operated. 9. Maintains a clean and safe work area. Requirements Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Graduation from high school or equivalent and 18 years of age. 6 months of recent manufacturing, mechanical or shop experience. Experience and Skills Required: Recent mechanical and shop experience that includes the following skills and abilities would be beneficial. 1. Some knowledge of the equipment, materials, methods and practices used in the production process. 2. Some knowledge of related safety requirements to include proper use of safety equipment and proper safety precautions 3. Ability to understand and follow routine oral and written instructions 4. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. 5. Must have average math skills and mechanical ability. Timely completion of objective performance evaluations. Bring accountability by coaching employees to successfully meet our high standards in the 7 dimensions. Running the Business: Maintain a safe work environment by: Performing daily safety audits. Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures. Addressing hazards that arise through problem solving. Participate in monthly safety meetings and safety audits. Meet customer demand by: Executing daily plan given from day shift supervisor for schedule attainment and training. Creating production plans with Production Team/Line Lead for required work, including; staffing levels and assignments, hourly and daily goals, per area. Regularly performing leader standard work tasks as part of Lean Management System: Attend/Participate in tier meetings. Monitor production using visual controls. Verify standard processes are followed and cycle times are met. Ensure product is built to meet quality specifications. Oversee Electronic Assembly and other areas outside of the department if the need arises. Responsibilities of the night shift supervisor are going to extend beyond EA. Example, checking in with the Mill and Saw operator nightly, checking in with EA labor in other departments if we are helping out in other areas. This supervisor is the highest level of authority on E-shift in EA and any of the other departments. They have the responsibility to ensure everything is running as intended and escalating issues that they are unable to handle that are not only EA related but factory related. Supporting production operations through fixing and/or escalating issues that arise. Performing value add work as needed. Improving the Business: Lead and actively participate in daily problem solving. Lead and/or participate in larger improvement projects within areas of responsibility. Drive change in areas of responsibility in the pursuit of continuous improvement. Be able to build consensus and communicate importance to the team and internal customers. Direct spoke-specific predictive/optimization analytics and tools & solutions needs to the hub and participate in joint development with the hub teams. Manage demand and supply of analytic resources within the given operating unit. Lead spoke steering committee meeting and work with spoke business lead(s) to prioritize reporting/analytics work efforts.
