Participates in New Product design review for the purpose of component selection and standardization. Responsible for processing component substitution requests and component obsolescence replacements. Work closely with suppliers to develop new component retrofit to mitigate Last-Time-Buy Work with suppliers to develop component recertification process for parts returned from the field Participates in alternate component qualification and DVT’s. (Design Verification Testing) Evaluate field impact on component substitution requests and component obsolescence replacements. Cognizant of key suppliers new products development roadmap Assist in Agile/Team Center implementation for parts & tooling unique to Liebert Services Submit expense reports, trip reports, and time cards accurately and on time Stay familiar with new products/environments that may affect product operation to include new revisions, updates, upgrades, etc. Other duties or projects as assigned Minimum of four years electrical/electronic/mechanical technical degree. Minimum of one year experience interacting with customers on a technical level required, field service experience a plus Knowledge of and at least one year experience in Power and/or UPS industry. Familiarity with power components like breakers, IGBT transistors, and capacitors is a plus. Knowledge of and at least one year experience in Thermal/HVAC industry. Familiarity with thermal products like compressors, motors, fans & blowers, etc. Ability to interpret and understand Electrical Component specification and MSDS Familiar with Six Sigma Quality.
