The mandate of the group is, to reliably deliver the pipeline and supply quality products to patients. The group excels in its work through innovation, teamwork, dedication, and mutual respect and contributes every day, continuously improving what it does. PTDO Informatics Team is responsible for a broad range of IT services and support across small and large molecule technical development, device development, analytical sciences, business operations and supply chain in PTD. We provide lab information management systems, data management solutions and web applications to support PTD functions. We collaborate closely with key partners in the departments Research and Early Development (pRED / gRED), Manufacturing (PT) and Quality (PTQ). POSITION Reporting to the PTD Global Head of Informatics, the position will be accountable for ownership, management, and support of PTD lab information management systems including LIMS, ELN, and HPLC Data Systems. The incumbent will serve as a subject matter expert for configuration, implementation and ongoing support of solutions used in a laboratory environment for process development in both GMP and non-GMP environments. This position will serve as a senior member of team and advise on next generation lab technologies to help serve the PTD pipeline. The incumbent must maintain up-to-date knowledge of vendor’s software strategy, information of available competing solutions and the ability to translate these to the changing business environment in PTD such that we can continually maximize software investments. The incumbent must be collaborative across PTD labs globally. The incumber shall perform cost-benefit analysis for software upgrades, defining business requirements for new/enhanced functionality, maintenance of the system configuration and associated documentation, and implementation support. The incumbent will work closely with Roche Global Informatics to ensure adherence to corporate architecture standards. The individual must be able to anticipate systems problems, develop multiple solutions, document the rationale, and secure business approval for solution implementation. He/she must be customer-service oriented, sensitive to the needs of the client groups and receptive to their feedback. RESPONSIBILITIES Own, manage and support PTD lab information management solutions including Labware LIMS, Electronic Lab Notebook software (IDBS E-Workbook ELN), and Chromeleon Chromatography Data System (CDS) Provide lab systems roadmap for PTD, accounting for current and future business needs, and make technology decisions / recommendations to PTD IT Team Develop and drive new solutions for the lab systems users across PTD; partner with PTDx functions and external vendors to assess needs Provide support for lab data analysis solutions (e.g., Matlab, Excel, Jump and SAS) and instrument specific software (including robotics and automation equipment). Work within a team environment to provide end user support in a complex environment with occasional 24 x 7 support. Produce end user documentation and training materials for both, a GMP and non-GMP environments. Represents the organization as the primary SME on Lab Information Management related projects. Interact with senior external personnel of software solution providers on significant technical matters. Responsibilities will include managing and leading consultants and technical experts from software vendor companies. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business or a related discipline. Advanced degree in related field is strongly preferred. 10 years of relevant experience in biotech, pharmaceuticals, medical device, diagnostic, management consulting or other relevant industry Demonstrated experience managing lab software for both chemistry and microbiological methods including managing software and hardware requirements, software configuration, end user training, documentation management, data management, and lab instrument software management. Working knowledge of software platforms used in GMP Quality Control Laboratories, pharmaceutical manufacturing, microbiological techniques, environmental monitoring, applicable FDA guidance, and 21 CFR parts 210, 211 and Part 11. At least 2 years of experience running laboratory instruments such has HPLC, MS, or UV/V preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of networks, PC/Mac support experience and lab instrument installation. Knowledge of report writers, Unix, Oracle, and Windows is a plus. High level of motivation and ability to commit to results and implement pragmatic solutions. Openness and flexibility to change as well as “out of the box thinking” ability Excellent written and verbal communication skills 10% travel may be required.

Teach For America corps members teach a variety of subjects, including (but not limited to): science, math, computer science, humanities, language arts, English, reading, special education, Spanish/bilingual education, ESL, history, social studies, and more.You ll work in close partnership with educators, parents, and community members to set ambitious goals for your students and help support them on their journey to achieving their dreams. With an unparalleled support network, ongoing coaching and leadership development during your two years in the corps, you will have a profound impact on your students academic and personal growth. As a TFA alum, you will gain access to numerous top graduate school and employer partnerships that will help you advance and accelerate your leadership trajectory after you leave the corps. While many alumni choose to continue teaching after their two year commitment, others choose to branch out across a variety of sectors law, non-profit, finance, government, and more while continuing to help impact and advance educational equity throughout their careers. We need educators, engineers, policy advocates, military veterans, attorneys, marketers, developers, social workers, all equally working together as a coalition to bring about systemic change in our nation s education system.Where You Will TeachTeach For America works in 51 communities across the country. We call them regions, and they range from large cities to rural communities, from New Haven to Hawai'i and South Dakota to the Rio Grande Valley, TFA corps members are challenging what is possible for our nation s students.Minimum Qualifications Strong academic performance: Minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher.
