Project Manager - Facilities Construction

In this Facilities construction role, you will work on projects that will vary from very simple with low complexity tenant finish to higher technical specialized laboratories and unique testing chambers. On a day to day basis, your responsibilities will include: • Plan, direct, and manage all phases of construction projects from initiation of design concepts through design, implementation, and closeout • Ensure project requirements are defined, contract and contract changes are negotiated, operating budgets established, and financial terms/conditions of contract are identified • Act as liaison for facility project activities and be responsible for multiple concurrent project logistics & leadership, communication, reviews of cost, schedule and technical performance • Establish schedule milestones and monitor adherence to master plans, standards, construction specifications, budgets and schedules • Identify problems, status and develop solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing project scope assessment • Represent FO&S organization and provide coordination with internal staff, external subcontractors, telecommunications, other Space customer Lines of Business • Frequently work with senior management on significant decision making or status Our employees working in this level of position typically have 9 - 15 years of professional experience To promote the sharing of ideas, Lockheed Martin fosters an inclusive work environment that encourages differences and big-picture thinking. Understands and explains the interactions between systems, applications, and services within the environment, and evaluates the impact of changes or additions to the environment. Participates in the evaluation and/or selection of solutions or products, including requirements definition, vendor and product evaluations. Acts as a local expert for areas of domain expertise. Acts as an escalation point for technical teams and provides hands on expertise. Applies strong analysis, research and problem-solving skills across a wide array of systems and situations, including those which may be unfamiliar, in order to address critical issues.
